Ewan McGregor has settled his divorce from wife Eve Mavrakis after 22 years only not before his eldest daughter could have her say on his new girlfriend.

The 49-year-former Trainspotting star finalised the divorce, which has been going on since January 2018 and The Blast has reported the settlement later obtaining new legal documents.

The couple have reportedly submitted details of their fiscal settlement to court, so that the divorce can be rubber stamped.

The biggest drama of the separation has come up from Ewan'due south eldest girl Clara McGregor, who has taken aim at his new girlfriend, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, in a social media post.

The problem started subsequently a fan business relationship shared a photo of Ewan kissing Mary Elizabeth at the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscars party.

Speaking to The Times after her outburst, Clara did acknowledge that her comments on Instagram were not 'mature' but did give her reasoning for making them.

She said: "Information technology wasn't the about mature mode to go about things, merely I was aroused and upset.

"At that place had been a lot building up to it and a lot to deal with - not to make excuses or anything - but, yeah, information technology wasn't my finest moment."

The model said that at the time, she "kept being tagged in this photograph and I was seeing negative things about my mom."

Clara continued: "I said how I felt and I didn't want to apologise for information technology.

"It wasn't the right way to become about things, merely information technology'south a hard thing to wrap your head around when you lot feel you had this idea of what the family unit of measurement is and so to have that shift. It's very weird."

Clara as well admitted that she wasn't going to exist making whatsoever special efforts to get to know her dad's new girlfriend.

She said: "I'one thousand good. I wish them all the best, but I'1000 staying out of that, for sure."

The financial area of the divorce had been a sticking signal until now, with Ewan reportedly unhappy with the amount he was contributing to his wife and children's living expenses.

He had allegedly washed so voluntarily but felt he was paying over the odds compared to what he felt he should exist contributing.

At the same time, Eve was claiming that she was receiving less than what she was entitled to, so it had proved to be a sticking betoken.
